Although to this point I have worked primarily in watercolor, I am beginning to experiment with oil painting as well. This piece was painted during a workshop with Charlotte Wharton in 2010. It was a new experience to be painting from a live model, and inventing a background! Though this meant stepping out of my comfort zone, it was a very worthwhile experience.
