In 2010 I had the privilege of attending a workshop presented by Maureen Killaby, a very talented graphite artist. We were provided with a reference photo of the model, and then worked step by step through the project, guided by Maureen. If you would like to compare my rendering to the original, click here.
Other than a few simple sketches I did when my children were young, this was my first experience working with graphite. I was very pleasantly surprised at the result I was able to achieve.
